Visible Balance
For spaces where objects don't just exist, but carry meaning.
BAL is a sculptural incense holder that doesn't simulate balance, but rather makes it constructively visible.
This design object never stands by default. Balance emerges in the moment of placement – between weight and counterforce, between ritual and statics.
- Object dimensions: L 60 × W 42 × H 22 mm

Meaning
How does balance become visible in an object?
BAL translates a principle from practice into form. Not as a symbol, but as a state.
The focus is not on catching the ash, but on the relationship between stick and object.
Development and production in one place
Every object bears the studio's signature – visible, yet understated.
Available without engraving on request.
Built in balance
Small changes shift the whole.
Form, weight and position depend on each other.
Tilted back – deliberately at rest.
When at rest, the ash is collected. A rim holds it back and protects the surface.
In use, it finds its balance.

Why our object is intentionally not effortless
BAL doesn't catch every bit of ash – by design. Why an object that demands something of us creates more balance than one that does everything for us.

What we don't do ourselves
The Ambrosia of Berk is not made by us – and that is exactly why we have been burning it for six years and are now selling it.
